This high-density polyethylene PE80 pipe (black with 4 blue stripes) fulfils the requirements from International certification ISO 9001/2015 for the design and production of PE pipes. Use generally for underground water transfer or in pressurised supply networks including applications such as garden irrigation, sprinkler irrigation systems or sub-surface cable protection.

The 2.0mm wall thickness combined with a Standard Dimension Ratio of 13.6 means this quality pipe is designed for strength and the ability to withstand high pressures of up to 10 bar. Its robust construction to a Minimum Required Strength (MRS) of 8.0Mpa provides high tensile strength and reliability, making it extremely resistant to cracking caused by environmental stressors and mechanical pressures. 

The extrusion manufacturing process involves using high-quality thermoplastic to stabilise the pipe composition, ensuring reliable protection against bursting caused by sudden forces acting on the pipe wall, such as the opening/closing of a solenoid valve.
Through innovative technology, scanners and cameras provide extensive control over the production process resulting in automated control over the external diameter and wall thickness. This expert extrusion method creates a smooth internal wall designed to minimise pressure loss and enable exceptional flow capacity.

HDPE 80 pipe is measured by its outer diameter and is compatible with 25mm Compression Fittings that fit the external diameter. Top Tip: Use a Chamfering Tool to blunt the edge of the pipe before installation to ensure a clean leading edge that will not cause damage to the internal mechanisms of the fitting.

To install, excavate a trench equal to the pipe's diameter plus 20cm on either side. The excavation should be free from rocks and other objects. It is recommended to place a layer of sand 10-20cm deep at the bottom of the trench before installing the pipe. The material used to backfill the excavation should be free from rocks or sharp objects.
