Rain Bird's patent-pending Copper Shield Technology protects the emitter from root intrusion which allows for a long-lasting, low maintenance sub-surface drip irrigation system.
The Rain Bird XFS Subsurface Dripline with Copper Shield Technology is the latest innovation by Rain Bird. Rain Bird's patent-pending Copper Shield Technology protects the emitter from root intrusion which allows for a long-lasting, low maintenance sub-surface drip irrigation system.
The dripline is able to function with water pressures between 0.59 to 4.14 BAR with a flow rate of 2.3 litres per hour. This dripline is 13.6mm x 100m long with drippers evenly spaced at 33cm intervals.
The unique material offers significantly greater flexibility and kink resistance which allows for tighter turns and fewer fittings making installation easier and faster. Additionally the pipe is very easy to uncoil and lay without kinks or loops which reduces installation time.
The XF Subsurface emitters are protected from root intrusion by Rain Bird's patent-pending Copper Shield Technology and as a result, the system will not require maintenance or replacement of chemicals to prevent root intrusion. Grit tolerant emitters resist clogging by use of extra-wide flow path combined with a self-flushing action. The pressure-compensating emitter design provides a consistent flow over the entire lateral length ensuring higher uniformity.
Benefits
Unique material for greater flexibility and kink resistance
No maintenance required to prevent root intrusion
Resists clogging with a self flushing action
Consistent flow over entire lateral length: higher uniformity
Duel layered tubing provides unmatched resistance to chemicals
