To install a replacement ‘O’-ring, simply unscrew the nut and pull the pipe from the main body of the fitting. Then, remove the thrust ring holding the current ‘O’-ring in position. Place the new ‘O’-ring into the fitting body making sure it is free from any twists and re-place the thrust ring back inside the body of the fitting. The pipe can then continue to be installed as normal.

Before inserting the ‘O’-ring into the compression fitting body, apply some silicone grease to the fitting before pipe installation. This allows the pipe to slide past the ‘O’-ring without causing any gouges from jagged pipe edges. Top Tip: Blunt the end of the pipe before installing it into a fitting using a pipe chamfering tool to reduce the risk of damaging the ‘O’-ring.   

Each part is manufactured from high-grade polypropylene polymers mechanically tested to conform to standards EN12201-2 for use in potable water systems and in systems that require components to be WRAS approved. The non-metallic construction of materials is suitable for contact with drinking water having met the requirements of BS 6920-1 :2000.
