This high-density polyethylene PE80 pipe (black with 4 blue stripes) fulfils the requirements from standards BS6920-1:2000 WRAS-approved material water pipes and is produced in conformity with the normative document EN 12201-2:2011+A1:2013. This pipe can also be used in underground sprinkler irrigation systems, water supply or as sub-surface cable protection.

The impressive 3mm wall thickness and ability to withstand high hydrostatic design stress within the pipe wall mean pressure can be continuously applied internally from water hammer and externally from underground installation with minimal pipe failure whilst withstanding pressures up to 16 bar. The impact-resistant body exhibits exceptional properties against mechanical stress and is engineered to resist cracking caused by external stresses.

The extrusion manufacturing process using high-quality thermoplastic stabilises pipe composition minimising degradation over time. This promotes reliable protection against bursting caused by abrupt forces acting on the pipe wall from the opening/closing of a solenoid valve for example.

HDPE 80 pipe is measured by its outer diameter and is compatible with Compression Fittings that fit the external diameter. Top Tip: Chamfer the edge of the pipe before installing the pipe into a fitting to ensure a clean leading edge that will not cause damage to the internal mechanisms of a fitting.
