It produces a much sharper barb than connectors from leading brands meaning the double-barbed edge better anchors itself into the pipe eliminating leaks and offering increased retention against pipe dislocation even when used in high-pressure systems. The ergonomically shaped tapered edge allows the pipe to easily slide onto the joiner and the protruding double barb anchors it securely into place. Please Note: When using 13mm connectors with 13mm LDPE Pipe, a Ratchet Clamp must be installed at each connection point to ensure a watertight seal. Once the pipe is joined to the connector, the distance between each barb produces a flat base for the installation of the clamp. Top Tip: Heat the end of the pipe in hot water for 10-30 seconds for easy installation.
